Attorney Chelsea N. Abend has been interested in Elder law and Estate planning services since law school. At Cooley Law School, Chelsea received the Leadership Achievement Award for her work in the Elder Law Clinic. She continued her love for helping Seniors by providing estate planning services to clients throughout the Volusia County area since February 2017.

After graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration from Ferris State University, Chelsea spent a year serving Livingston County, Michigan, residents with developmental disabilities. Realizing she could better serve her community with a legal education, she attended Western Michigan University Cooley Law School.

Before graduating in the top 8% of her class at Cooley, Chelsea was the Vice President of the Student Bar Association, involved in Delta Theta Phi Law Fraternity and Phi Delta Phi Honors Society, and was an Associate Editor of the Adelphia Law Journal. During her externship with the Elder Law Clinic, where she did estate planning for Michigan residents, she received the Board of Directors’ Award for her outstanding service to the community. After graduating Magna Cum Laude from Cooley, she was admitted to the Michigan Bar Association as well as The Florida Bar.

As a member of the Volusia County Bar Association, Rotary Club of Downtown Ormond Beach, Daytona Regional Chamber of Commerce, Volusia County Women Who Care, City of Daytona Beach Economic Development Advisory Board, and a volunteer for Community Legal Services of Mid-Florida, Chelsea is dedicated to serving the community’s legal needs and understands the importance of giving back to those that have helped make this State shine.
